ROCKABILLY BLUES

Rock.
Rock.
Rockabilly, rock.
Really Billy, really, really rock.
Shake your silly hillbilly flock.
Sing the Pledge of Allegiance.
Sing all the dire anthems
of the coming apocalypse.
Sing the burning bush.
Sing the Wall St. blues
& bow down before
the bedonkadonk
of Britney or the Brits
at old Bunker Hill.
It’s all good…
It’s all Davy Crockett.

Adrian C. Louis

...this is a poem by a poet i
will read this summer
he speaks my sort of language
...i have appropriated this poem
from a PDF file from a 2009 edition
of THE NATION
in the advertisement column
there is a notice for a memorial service
for JAMES AGEE

Britney and brits, or BP might be scary.

Pro sports (X-ball, all the time!)--scarier. The coming apocalypse will probably go down in a stadium or bassetball -hall.

(Hi Miss Sally...hope you are well)

thanks J!

i am well for the most part
just frustrated with budget cuts
and expanding work loads
less and less time
to do anything well

maybe i should quit my job
but then that wouldn't work well
given our plans to remodel our house

hope you are well too J

and you too jh
nice talking to you tonight
or at least listening
to you and john
thanks for engaging with him
